Mannatide was formerly known as polyantigen. In 2000, the State Food and Drug Administration changed its name to Mannatide. It is an off-white or slightly yellow amorphous powder, odorless and tasteless, easily soluble in water, and insoluble in water. Based on organic solvents, it is a mixture with stable chemical properties and a certain degree of uniformity. It does not contain small-molecule sugars such as monosaccharides and disaccharides and free amino acids. It is completely composed of mannan peptide molecules of different chain lengths. The molecular mass is approximately 71ku. . The total sugar content in mannan peptides is 87.7% to 90.3%, mainly mannose and a small amount of glucose residues; the total amino acid content is 4.5% to 6.2%, mainly aspartic acid, threonine, serine, Glutamic acid, alanine and leucine, the sugar chain and the peptide chain are connected in two ways: N-glycosidic bond connection and O-glycosidic bond connection.
