Harbin Institute of Technology leads the transformation of some of the country's aerospace tech

   On September 25, 2013, my country's first fast-response small satellite "Kuaizhou-1" with the background of military-civilian integration applications, developed by Harbin Institute of Technology, was successfully launched. Microsatellites have won eight battles and eight victories. The lunar microsatellite planned to be launched in 2018 is the first microsatellite in the world to be developed by a university and enter the lunar orbit to perform scientific exploration missions. Currently, the school is researching Astur, the Asia-Pacific Multilateral Cooperation Plan, etc. 10 satellites. In 2016, the space manipulator completed the world's first scientific test of human-machine collaborative on-orbit maintenance on Tiangong-2. The CNC fluid pressure forming equipment developed is the largest in the world and will provide effective support for my country's development of large-scale launch vehicles; the first domestic high-speed data processor developed was successfully launched on the "Communication Technology Test Satellite 2", with indicators comparable to similar international products; and The United States' simultaneous development of space maintenance aircraft will enable my country to have the ability to repair and maintain failed satellites and clean up orbital debris in geosynchronous orbit for the first time. In line with the policy of scientific research and service talent training, Harbin Institute of Technology has provided more than 30,000 talents to China's aerospace industry.


2. Transformation of technological achievements  

    Harbin Institute of Technology has also successfully transformed a number of technological achievements and achieved the integrated development of national defense science and technology and industrial systems. Two military-to-civilian companies, Boshi Automation and Oride Optoelectronics, have successfully gone public. Laser automated welding technology has been applied to the manufacturing of the aluminum-lithium alloy fuselage of the domestic C919 large aircraft to meet the demand for "replacing riveting with welding". Internal high-pressure forming technology has been applied It has mass-produced parts for 20 models of cars of 8 independent brands including FAW and SAIC, with a total of 5 million pieces installed. Relying on the Heilongjiang Industrial Technology Research Institute, the school has incubated 145 technology-based enterprises and paid nearly 600 million yuan in taxes in 2016. Since the "Twelfth Five-Year Plan", the school has invested more than 14 billion yuan in scientific research funds, established 15 national-level scientific and technological innovation platforms, and 75 provincial-level scientific and technological innovation platforms. In 2013, the "Aerospace Science and Technology Collaborative Innovation Center", led by Harbin Institute of Technology and jointly established with China Aerospace Science and Technology Corporation and domestic universities, became one of the first 14 centers launched in the "2011 Plan". In 2017, Harbin Institute of Technology led the construction of the Space Ground Environment Simulation Device, the only national major scientific and technological infrastructure in Northeast China, and the basic conditions for scientific and technological innovation continued to strengthen. 3Civil-military integration

    In 2017, Harbin Institute of Technology established the Harbin Institute of Technology’s Military-Civil Integration Development Leading Group and established the Military-Civil Integration Research Institute. In the double first-class university construction plan submitted to the country, it is clearly proposed to develop military-civilian integration and build a characteristic subject group of aerospace science and engineering. 10 disciplines of aerospace science and technology, control science and engineering, and optical engineering have been approved for the "Thirteenth Five-Year Plan" national defense It has the largest number of approved disciplines among domestic universities; it implements the open sharing of large-scale instruments and equipment, and continuously promotes the joint construction and sharing of education and scientific research infrastructure by military and civilians. Taking advantage of the fine tradition of cultivating talents for aerospace, two additional chapters of "National Defense Science and Technology Industry" and "Secrecy and Security" are added to the public compulsory course "Military Theory" to promote students to establish national security awareness and national defense awareness. Established a project to build three courses: "Weapons and Equipment and National Security", "Eye in the Sky - Modern Remote Sensing Technology" and "Hypersonics and Interstellar Exploration Vehicles", and opened elective courses "Weapons and Equipment and High Technology" and "Introduction to Military Thought and Combat Examples" to promote Construction of military-civilian integration course group. A strategic research institution has been established to promote theoretical and strategic research. Focusing on the key areas of national military-civilian integration development and combining the characteristics and foundation of the school, the Harbin Institute of Technology’s military-civilian integration development plan has been compiled, and methods for cultivating major military-civilian integration projects have been introduced.
